This page explains what information we collect when you use My Colored Life, what we do with it, and the choices you have. The short version: your photos are used to make your book, shown only to the services that help us make it, and deleted when you delete them.
What we collect
Your photos. The photos you upload are the heart of the service. We store them so we can turn them into your coloring book.
Your email address. When you save a book, we ask for your email so we can sign you in (we use sign-in links, not passwords) and send you updates about your book and order.
Order details. When you buy a book, we collect your shipping address and order information. Payment is handled by Stripe — your card number never touches our servers.
Usage information. We record events like "a book was created" or "a page was drawn" so we can fix problems and understand how the service is used. These records don't include your photos.
What we do with your photos
We use your photos for exactly one thing: making your coloring book. That means:
- Storing them securely while you build your book
- Sending each one to our image generation service to draw it as line art
- Checking each one automatically at upload against our content rules
- Assembling approved artwork into a print file for our printing partner
We don't use your photos for advertising. We don't sell them. We don't use them to train AI models.
How your photos are protected
- Private storage. Photos and artwork live in private storage. There is no public link to them — every view goes through a short-lived signed link created only for you.
- Location data removed. Photos from phones carry hidden data like GPS location and device details. We strip that data when your photo arrives.
- Access is limited. Photos are only readable by you (through the app) and by the automated systems that make your book.
Who sees your photos
Making your book requires a few trusted services. Each one sees your photos only to do its job:

We don't share your photos or information with anyone else.
Deleting your photos
You're in control:
- Delete anytime. Deleting a book from your account permanently removes its photos and every piece of artwork made from them — originals, drawings, thumbnails, and print files.
- Swapped photos are removed too. If you replace a photo while building, the old one and its artwork are deleted.
- Abandoned drafts clean themselves up. Draft books untouched for 60 days are deleted automatically, photos included. Books you've ordered are kept so we can support your order.
- Declined photos are deleted immediately. If our automatic content check declines a photo, it's removed right away — it's never stored.
Your account and your rights
You can access your books and photos anytime from your account. You can delete them yourself — no support ticket needed. If you want your account itself removed, or a copy of the information we hold about you, email us and we'll take care of it.
Where your information lives
Our services store information on servers in North America, including the United States.
Cookies
We use the minimum: a session cookie to keep you signed in, and a token that lets you build a book before you've signed in. No advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking.
Children
My Colored Life is for adults — you must be the one uploading photos and placing orders. Photos of your kids are yours to include; accounts belong to grown-ups.
If something goes wrong
If we ever have a data breach that affects you, we'll tell you promptly and explain what happened and what we're doing about it.
